  • Camp High Rocks has one opening for a director of its summer whitewater program. Director must be experienced in teaching mostly open boat, but experience in kayak and C-1 is very helpful. Rivers we paddle include the Chattooga, Nantahala, Tuckaseegee, French Broad, Green, Pigeon, and Toe.
  • Qualifications: At least 21 years of age, experience leading river trips, Wilderness First Responder, and ACA whitewater instructor certification (certification available prior to camp season).
  • Direct staff of 6-7 canoeing counselors. Create lesson plans for the program. Maintain fleet of boats and gear. Instruct canoeing on our 11 acre lake and lead trips to local rivers.
  • May 23 - August 5, 2023. Training dates in May.
